Brian Barkauskas, P.E., Promoted to Vice President of Business Development
Brian Barkauskas, P.E., has recently been promoted to Vice President of Business Development for Nicholson Construction.
Barkauskas, who brings close to 20 years of experience to his new role, most recently held the position of Nicholson’s Director of Business Development. He has overseen the company’s regional and national business development efforts for the past six years and played an integral role in 2023 being a record-breaking year for Nicholson.
In addition to leading the company’s business development efforts, including a focused effort on the New York market, Barkauskas also played a key role in internal employee leadership and development efforts.

Barkauskas started his career as a Staff Engineer for with Moretrench, now part of Keller. During his ten years with the company, he rose to the level of Area Manager, overseeing the Pittsburgh Office. Prior to his time with Nicholson, he held the title of Regional Manager at McCrossin Foundations. A few key memorable projects throughout his career include Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn, MTA Second Avenue Subway Compensation Grouting, Electric Boat Graving Dock Repairs, MIT Sloan SBMA Anchors in Cambridge, MA and his first dam anchor project at Point View Dam in New Jersey.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science from Muhlenberg College in Physics. Barkauskas is a licensed professional Engineer in the Great State of New Jersey.
